Vijay TV is about to start their 'Vijay Rasigan Express' poll once again from June 1. The poll will start from 10.30AM from AVM Studios, Chennai to other parts of the Tamil Nadu. AVM Saravanan and SAC will initiate the first day function, say sources. Nanban Updates

It looks like director Shankar will complete ‘Nanban’ within short span of time, say before Jan-Feb 2012. The crew has already completed working on couple of schedules that was shot across Ooty, Dehradun and Andaman.

Before couple of days, the crew returned from Ooty after shooting few portions and are now back in Chennai. Shankar has planned a week schedule at the indoors of Studios. It was the same place where the huge sets were erected for ‘Enthiran’.

Soon after completing few portions in Chennai, Shankar is planning for some songs to be shot in Spain and other parts of the globe.

Rumors On Vijay's Pair

Recently there was news about Bhavana being signed for Vijay’s next film ‘Pagalavan’. But the closer sources have claimed it as baseless rumor. The film is directed by Seeman and it was supposed to take off before a year. Unfortunately, Seeman was pushed behind the bars and couldn’t make any further steps with the project. On his release from prison, Vijay was already committed to various projects including ‘Velayudham’ and Shankar’s ‘Nanban’.

With both the projects proceeding neatly as per plans, the actor has decided to take off with ‘Pagalavan’ after wrapping up with these films.

It was earlier mentioned that Hansika Motwani will be playing his ladylove and now Bhavana is reported of getting into the picture for another heroine’s role.

The sources mention that the discussions are on initial level and it would take few more days to be finalized.

    “I’ve never waited with bated breath even for my film’s release. But I was excited and eagerly anticipated the results for the state election. I hoped that those whom I supported won,” said Vijay, at the ‘thank you’ meet he had organised for the members of Makkal Iyakkam, his fans’ association.
    The meet, which is seen by critics as a move by the actor to step closer to politics, got the usually-reticent Vijay talking about a variety of topics, including politics. A source close to the actor revealed, “He (Vijay) wanted his fans to work towards ending the dominance of the family that ruled Kollywood. But he was glad when he got feedback from AIADMK sources stating that his fans had done much more than what was expected.”
    We hear that the actor was more than happy when he realized that despite having their own political preferences, his fans went in for his choice. “A lot of his fans supported Amma on his request. Vijay equates his role in the election to that of a squirrel, which helped in building a bridge for Rama to cross the ocean in Ramayana.”
    Though the actor didn’t give clear indication about his next political move, he admitted that he wanted his Makkal Iyakkam to be “much more than just a fans’ association.” The source added, “He doesn’t want them to just catch his movies on the first day and be involved in mass fanfare. He wants his fans to do their best to provide support for a good rule in the state. At the same time, he reminded them that they have families to look after and that he’s ready to go all out to help them in times of need.”
    At the thank-you press meet, the shy actor, who was accompanied by directorfather S A Chandrasekhar, even went to the extent of singing a song from his forthcoming film. “Unlike Kaavalan, a soft romantic film, Velayudham will be a mass entertainer,” the actor is believed to have said, “Every actor has a gut instinct while working on a film about its success and I’m confident director Raja’s efforts will not go waste. And, Shankar’s Nanban will be my next big film.”
    Meanwhile, rumour has it that the Chief Minister Jayalalithaa will launch the audio of Velayudham, which has raised many eyebrows in the industry. “An official announcement will be made when the time’s right,” said the source when asked about it.

Velayudham final mixing progressing in New York

The eagerly awaited audio of Vijay’s Velayudham is all set to release in the month of July. Though the audio got postponed for sometimes now it is confirmed that the audio launch in July.

Currently the final mixing of the film is going on in New York and this takes nearly 20 days to get wrapped up and the CD printing process takes another 15 days. Currently the team is busy with the final schedule shoot and post production works. The climax of the film is going to is stand as a highlighting factor as the filmmakers have spent more money on the climax portion to give right look and elegance. Vijay play the role of a milkman as Vetrivel in the film while Hansika and Genelia essayed the role of Vijay’s love interest. There is a lot of sister sentiment in the film and Saranya Mohan played the role of Vijay’s sister.

Velayudham is a masala film filled with all right ingredients in right ratio for a block buster hit.

Jayalalitha for Velayudham audio launch?

Vijay’s Velayudham directed by Jayam Raja is to have a grand audio launch soon. It has been murmured that CM, Jayalalitha will be the guest of honor at the function. However, since it will not be possible for her to accommodate the audio launch in the midst of her hectic schedule, she has given her blessings to the cast and crew to go ahead without her, assuring them of her best wishes. Music is by Vijay Antony and he has composed five songs, which the makers are convinced will be chartbusters and a treat for Vijay's fans as word is that he has danced like never before. The film also has Genelia, Hansika, and Saranya Mohan in key roles. A star-studded music launch is expected to happen soon.

National award winner says Vijay is his favorite!

Dinesh, National award winner for best choreography in Aadukalam says that Vijay is his favorite hero and dancer. He has nothing but praise for Ilaya Thalapathy’s flawless execution of intricate dance moves. The choreographer received applause for his work in Chithiram Pesudhadi and Anjathey but the National award has been the icing on the cake. 	Vijay convened a meet with his fans at the Sangeetha Marriage Hall in Chennai on Saturday. This meeting was attended by around 1000 of his fans from various districts. The actor had called for this meet to thank all his fans for abiding by his word and supporting the AIADMK during the recent polls despite belonging to various political affiliations. Vijay said that he is thankful to all his fans who ensured that the AIADMK won the elections. To celebrate the success, the star treated all his fans with a feast. Present at this event were director SA Chandrasekar, the founder of the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, PRO Selva Kumar, and several Vijay fans. It was also announced that Bussi Anand and G Bhaskar will henceforth function as the administrators of the Vijay Narpani Mandram.

It was a day ago we heard that director Shankar is canning important scenes of Nanban in Coimbatore. Now we are back with the latest updates of Nanban.

If recalled we have reported that music director Harris Jayraj and lyricist Madhan Karky has given a song which carries the lyrics in more than 10 different languages. Now it is known that the song has 16 languages and it has been shot in exotic places around the world. Wow! This song is sure to create magic around the film lovers. Both Harris and Madan have done an experiment and it has been sung by Vijay Prakash outstandingly. Nanban audio is expected to release in the month of September.

‘Nanban’ goes outskirts

Whatever director Shankar does creates a buzz all over the industry and among movie buffs. Of course, the director-cum-producer has directed around ten films so far in his eighteen years career as a director and each film from ‘Gentleman’ to ‘Enthiran’ has been a blockbuster breaking all records.

His forthcoming venture ‘Nanban’ is the official remake of Bollywood blockbuster, ‘3 Idiots.’ But what not many know is that, ‘Nanban’ is the first remake directorial venture of the ace director, Shankar.

The Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that the team flew down to Coimbatore yesterday where some of the key scenes in the film will be shot. Jeeva who came back from Switzerland joined the team immediately to shoot for his scenes.

Whereas actress Ileana tweeted that she is back to work at the shooting sets of ‘Nanban’ in Coimbatore and its burning hot in there!

Nanban team stationed in Kovai

The Nanban team is camping in Kovai where the shooting is on. Director Shankar is facing the uphill task of shooting this film as it has three heroes. While Vijay is busy with Velayutham climax, he is now said to be shooting scenes that involve Jiiva.

The actor has said that he is flying down to Kovai to complete his portions. Shankar has plans to wrap this project soon as it involves the call sheet of several stars including that of Vijay, Jiiva, and Srikanth.

Nanban is a remake of the Hindi film 3 Idiots. The music for this film is being scored by Harris Jayraj.

Bhavana is the second heroine in Vijay's Pagalavan!

There were reports that Vijay will team up with Seeman for Pagalavan. The groundwork for this project is going on at a rapid pace, say insiders. When enquired about the lead pair for Vijay, we came to know that it will have two heroines. While the main heroine is yet to be finalized, there are reports that Seeman is keen on having Bhavana onboard.

Sources say that Bhavana will be the second heroine in Pagalavan. Wonder who will bag the main female lead role.

Who is behind the Nanban official poster designs, logos and other publicity promos?

It is none other than, 'Siddharth Chandrasekhar'. He is a popular publicity designer, has been in the business for 14 years. He has also directed a film called 'Bale Pandiya' produced by AGS Entertainment. He has worked with Director Shankar for the films like Anniyan, Sivaji The Boss & Enthiran already.
