Director SA Chandrasekar is very popular for making films centered on law and order and has been controversy’s favorite child. His most popular films like Vetri, Sattam Oru Iruttarai, Naan Sigappu Manidhan and Sukran have explored the wrong doings of the society and condemn them. The director is back with Sattapadi Kutram and as the title suggests, it revolves around law, order and politics.
The movie stars Vikranth, Sathyaraj, Seeman, and ‘Thamirabharani’ Bhanu and also has actor Vijay doing a small cameo. The crux of the film’s story is about creating a revolution and comes with a message to the society in which Seeman is playing the role of an advocate who fights hard to ensure that wrongdoers get punished as per the law.
During the movie’s audio launch everyone praised the director for making a movie like this and they especially seemed impressed with the character Sathyaraj plays. Sathyaraj thanked SA Chandrasekar for giving him a role like this one.
The movie is said to have a strong dose of politics that is bound to be controversial. Due to this reason it was rumored that several theatre owners backed out from distributing the film, for election is approaching and things might turn ugly. The film has crossed all these hurdles and is set to release this Friday.
Rumored to be a revised version of Sattam Oru Iruttarai, this film has music by Vijay Anthony and is produced under the banner Staar Makers and directed by SA Chandrasekar |
