CHENNAI: The shooting of Vijay-starrer 'Velayudham' is going on in full swing. The film is almost at its finishing stage with just the climax and a song to be shot. Produced by Aascar Films, the film is directed by M Raja.
In this film, Vijay plays a milk vendor. Genelia, who teamed up with Vijay in 'Sachin', now plays a journalist in 'Velayudham'. The film also stars Hansika Motwani.
The brother-sister sentiment between Saranya Mohan and Vijay is said to be one of the highlights. The introductory song of Vijay has been shot in Thirumurthymalai for a whopping budget of Rs 2 crore.
Apart from 13 villains in the film, two popular villains from Bollywood have been roped in. Vijay Antony has scored the music. The cast includes Santhanam, MS Bhaskar, Ilavarasu, Pandiyarajan and Raghav.
