kaavalan-shakthi-chidambaram-27-11-10

The interim stay order on the release of Kaavalan was quashed by the High Court following an amicable solution reached by the parties concerned.
Shakthi Chidambaram, who has purchased the entire rights of Kaavalan, and producer Romesh Babu resolved the matter with distributor Saravanan. A solution was arrived between the three with Shakthi Chidambaram and Romesh Babu agreeing to handover the color lab rights to Saravanan.
Following this, the judge held that the interim stay on the Vijay-Asin starrer Kaavalan is being vacated and the film can be released as planned.

Mithra says that she is the real pair of Vijay

Mithra says that she is the real pair of Vijay

Mitra Vijay has kept aside his formula like punch dialogues, Kuthu songs and ferocious fights and is acting as a silent romantic hero in the film Kaavalan. Now in order to disturb his peace there are two heroines in this film. One is Asin and another one is Kerala import Mitra. Mitra says that she has won Vijay in the contest.
Though this Cochin girl is new to Tamil she has already acted in six Malayalam films. Not only this, she has also acted as Nayanthara’s friend in Body Guard which is now being remade in Tamil with the title Kaavalan. In Tamil also she is donning the same role.

When she was asked about pairing with Vijay, she said,” I never expected this. There are thousands of fans for Vijay in Kerala. There are lots of fans for Vijay in the college in which I am studying. Whenever Vijay films are released here, they will also be released in Kerala on the same day. Because of this we will never miss his films.

What a big opportunity I got by pairing with Vijay. My friends are very eager to see this film. Many are asking me whether I am donning vamp role in this film. I am donning the role of the heroine’s friend. But I will have a deep love with Vijay in my heart. But at the appropriate time I will reveal my love to him. I will avoid mentioning my friend’s love to him. In that way I will make the hero my possession.

Jiiva's surprise song in Ko

Well, Shahrukh Khan and Farah Khan did it inOm Shanti Om, and now Tamil actor Jiiva is all set to repeat the same magic in K.V. Anand's Ko. Yes we are talking about a peppy star-studded song.
Apparently, there is a particular scene in Kowhere Jiiva, who plays a photo journalist, is being felicitated. And Jiiva has requested some of his industry friends, including Vijay,Jayam Ravi, Arya, Tamannaah, Poonam, Dhanush, Suriya and Shriya to make a special appearance in the song. According to sources, music director Harris Jayaraj has composed a special hip-hop number for this song.

Vijay in 'no hurry’

There have been media reports saying Vijay in ‘such a hurry’ to complete ‘Velayudham’ to join the shoot of his next film, directed by Shankar, which is a remake of Hindi blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’.
A source close to Vijay said: “Vijay has been in the industry for a long period and he has a very good image. He always gives equal importance to all his projects and his each and every film is important to him.”
“He has never done a film in hurry and plans things in a professional way even if he has more than one project to do at a time. He will never do injustice to any project of him. It is somebody’s imagination running riot,” the source added.
Meanwhile, the music of ‘Kavalan’, which is the 51st film of Vijay, will be launched soon. Produced by Ekaveera Creations and directed by Siddique, the film will be released by Shakthi Chidambaram’s Cinema Paradise.

Vijay To Raise Like a Mount Everest

Vijay To Raise Like a Mount Everest:
courtesy:indiaglitz
Vijay bashing in media, particularly online and mobile media, is being now considered a fashion by many. What started as a pass time during Aadhi and ATM days has now become a serious game with the announcement of Vijay playing a scientist in ‘3 Idiots’ remake.
It’s totally unfair to demean an actor who has given stupendous hits in the past but facing some difficult terrain now. Rising and falling is part of life’s journey and there is nothing un-natural about it.
How many funny jokes were developed when successive movies of other actors f@iled at the box office recently? In fact if you dig up facts in history, you will find many actors who had wor$e fl@ps run than Vijay and yet managed to reclaim their position at the top of the ladder.
Tamil film fans, most of them if not all, are polarized much to the characteristic of the land and customs. MGR-Sivaji, DMK-ADMK, Rajini-Kamal, Thayir Sadham-Nattu Kozhi Kuzhambu etc. etc. But there exits many things in between the pole stars. And they are as good as the extremes.
If you say ‘Sura’ is a cr@p, you must have the nerve to say ‘Pokkiri’ is good. While talking about the shortcomings of ‘Vettaikaran’, you should also talk about the high merits of ‘Ghilli’ as well.
Remember an actor cannot climb to a place as high as where Vijay is today if he doesn’t have talent. So with all trust be assured that Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay is still in the race. And he knows how to do it. Just like all super stars even he had come up the hard way. People who had seen Vijay in films like Naalaya Theerpu, Sendhoorapandi, Rasigan, Deva, Vishnu and Coimbatore Maaple in his early days wouldn’t have believed him to reach a place on top as he is today. Pat came ‘Poove Unakkaga’ and things changed.
Director Vikraman in a way mellowed Vijay’s fiery image by making a good boy next door. With this film Vijay contrasted his image showed he too can perform if given a role of substance. Again with soft romances like Love Today, Priyamudan, Kadhalukku Mariyadhai, Thulladha Manamum Thullum and Kushi, Vijay reaffirmed that he is a good actor provided he is given a good script and an able director handling it.
Wouldn’t you appreciate the characteristic way with which Vijay also succeeded in doing action flicks at the same time doing his soft romances also? How about the year 2001 in which Vijay majestically carried himself in three films – Friends, Badri and Shahjahan – which are from corner to corner different from each other. And all were hits you see.
Again Vijay rises fast in the same speed he falls. A unique characteristic. Remember what the Super Star said at the launch f his ‘Chandramukhi’ after the unpleasant ‘Baba’? He said that he is not an elephant which takes time to get up but a horse which gets up quickly as it falls. Vijay who has moulded himself upon the image of the Super Star knows what it means.
If a ‘Vaseegara’ lets him down he jumps back with ‘Thirumalai. If a ‘Udhaya’ dis@ppoints there is a ‘Ghlli’ to straighten the record. If an ‘Aadhi’ goes down there is a monstrous hit ‘Pokkiri’ comes to reaffirm the faith.
So it’s definitely not too much time Vijay had given a hit. Few fl@ps in a row don’t erode away Vijay’s popularity and his stature in the industry. True, he is having some bad time after ‘Pokkiri’ but if you go by his current projects it is clear Vijay is all set to shake off his adversities. He has now understood where things went wrong.
Vijay is taking smart moves for the future and his forthcoming films Kavalan, Velayudham and 3 idiots remake will surely put him back on the track. He doesn’t want to repeat a ‘Sura’. For the ongoing projects Vijay has chosen proven writers and established directors. Siddique is a craftsman and he has proved that in his earlier film with Vijay. ‘Friends’ film in the combination of Siddique and Vijay was a 200 days film.
Similarly ‘Jayam’ Raja who knows the pulse of Tamil audience is handling Vijay in ‘Velayudham’. The story of ‘Velayudham’ is of Robin Hood type which suits Vijay best. And his role ‘3 Idiots’ is meaty and Shankar will surely shape him well. In fact Vijay was considered first for ‘Mudhalvan’ and that shows Shankar was ready to direct Vijay long time ago.
Here another interesting point to note is that Vijay still hasn’t lost his confidence on remakes but he has cleverly got seasoned directors to direct the film. It’s like having the best of both worlds.
With proven stories in hand and skillful directors handling him, Vijay will rock again..

vijay to go new look

Vijay to go for a new look ?

Ilayathalapathy Vijay is working round the clock to complete the shoot of his M Raja directed Aascar Films' Velayudham.  The two heroines of the film Genelia and Hansika Motwani are in Chennai, trying to help Vijay complete the film before December 5.

Why is Vijay in such a hurry to complete the film? He wants to join the shoot of his next film, Shankar's 3 Idiotsremake in Tamil which will start rolling on December 6. The buzz is that Shankar is going to give a new look to Vijay for the film.

Last week Vijay completed the pending song in Siddique directed Kaavalan in Lavasa near Pune. He was to do the song with Asin in a foreign locale but due to time factor the unit wrapped it up in India. The star is giving top priority to complete all his prior commitments and start fresh with an all new look for Shankar's film.

VIJAY'S DECEMBER DELIGHT

Vijay's anxious moments will ease soon with today's announcement about his next release. Kaavalan, directed by Siddique, is a much anticipated movie by his fans. With final touches being given to the movie, the audio launch of Kaavalan, as has been announced, will be held, tentatively, between the 25th and 28th of November. Adding to this excitement is another piece of information that the movie is slated for a December release.

With Asin by his side, fans are expecting that Vijay will weave his magic once again. We will keep you posted when the exact date of the audio launch is announced

Asin gets close with Vijay, Salman

Asin seems to be keen at striking it big once again in both Kollywood and Bollywood. And for that, the actress is reportedly making sure that there are no compromises from her side.
If sources are to be believed, a song and a scene were recently shot on Asin, for ‘Kavalan’ with Vijay and for ‘Ready’ with Salman Khan respectively, and both are steamy in their own right.
“A romantic number composed by Vidyasagar was picturised in Lavasa for ‘Kavalan’ and Vijay and Asin made a perfect pair for the song. Their chemistry was rocking,” say sources in the know.
On the Hindi film, sources say, “the script demanded a steamy scene between Salman and Asin. The actress, a thorough professional she is, had no second thought in doing it. The scene has come out well.
