Vijay,Jiiva, Srikanth Interview abt 3 Idiots..
The idiot factor: It was the last scene of the movie when it gets too emotional, and I was supposed to be happy for my friends. Jeeva said something so funny that I really couldn’t control my laughter for almost 20 minutes. The entire crew was waiting for me to finish.Working with Shankar: I wanted to work with him for a very long time. He can also act well and has good timing. He is one of the best directors I have worked with.
Favourite sound: The Tamil version of ‘Zubi Dubi’, ‘Aska aska’, is my favourite song. I enjoyed shooting it. Incidentally, I’m hooked on to the ‘Kolaveri’ song.
Real life connect: My parents never wanted me to act. When I reached my 12th standard, I realized I had to act. I followed my dream, and that’s what the movie tells you to do.
Three’s company: I need to like the script to do any role. I really don’t mind working with Ajith or anyone else for that matter if I like the script.
Time out: I love playing games and sports like tennis and cricket with my kids. I also like animated movies. Last month, I took my son and his classmates out to watch ‘The Adventures of Tintin’.
Jeeva becomes Koji
The Idiot factor: I used to travel in buses without a ticket. Once, a conductor came to check my ticket, I jumped out and ran. My friend got caught and had to pay a huge fine. After all the drama, he caught up with me, slapped me hard, and scolded me in the choicest language. Also, when I became an actor, I used to use a lot of foul language on the sets and the director could actually hear me. It took me a while to realise this.
Working with Shankar: He has no airs and has been very encouraging, especially since my role is supposed to be comical. He constantly gave me instructions as to what I should do and all the instructions are given over the microphone. He calls me ‘Koji’ after the release of my movie ‘Ko’. So he would say, ‘Koji turn right’ or ‘turn left.’
Favourite sound: I love the music of the film, especially ‘En friend pola’.
Three’s company: I am open to experimentation. In fact, all my roles have been different till now.
Time out: I am a gadget freak. I have all the new gadgets in the market including my favourite, the PS3. I love playing cricket as well.
Srikanth, the risk taker
The Idiot factor: In one part of the movie, I have a beard. One fine day, I assumed that those portions of the movie were completed, and I shaved. When I reached the sets, the director was shocked. He advised me not to be so careless. I felt very guilty.
Working with Shankar: He made each one of us feel very comfortable. Getting an opportunity to work with a man who has made brilliant movies is overwhelming. He would imitate us so well.
Favourite sound: My favourite track in the movie is ‘En friend pola’, the Tamil version of ‘All is well’. It took us 14 days to shoot this song.
Real-life connect: I was always into arts and drama and couldn’t imagine doing a ‘nine to six’ job. My parents warned me not to enter the film industry. I knew I was taking a calculated risk but I went ahead.
Three’s company: This film will be a trendsetter and help people break the shackles. We share an equal amount of space and importance in the movie.
Time out: I love gaming and carry my PS3 wherever I go. I also love cricket and will
soon be a part of the Celebrity Cricket League.

His films Nanban, Vanthaan Vendran and Rowthiram are going to release in different intervals by the end of December. His next film Nanban directed by Shankar is moving on a brisk pace and the shoot is going in and around Chennai.
Among all the three idiots Jeeva plays a funny role of Bakthi Pazham. His role will be one of the highlighting factors which bring loads of laughter riot in the film.
It looks like Jeeva is trying for a hat trick this year.
Udhayanidhi wanted his debut to be Nanban?
Producer turned actor Udhayanidhi Stalin has first decided to make his debut with director Shankar’s Nanban. He wanted to do the role played by Madhavan in the Hindi version when Shankar planned to do the remake.By moving a step forward he even requested the producers of Nanban to cast him in one of the lead role but he later changed his mind. It was Udhayanidhi’s dream to make his big screen debut with a comedy flick and this might be the reason he wanted to star in Nanban. He changed his mind when director Rajesh approached him with the script of Oru Kal Oru Kannadi. Udhayanidhi was very much impressed with the script and decided to do the role.
It is very well known that director Rajesh is brilliant in making films with comedy and humor. This has attracted the producer and within no time they have started the film which is currently under wrapping up its third schedule.
'Nanban' secrets revealed

Taking shape on fast-track, details about Shankar's 'Nanban' are being guarded like an army secret. But still, we managed to get some juicy info on the Vijay-Srikanth-Jeeva starrer, which is a remake of 'Three Idiots'.
Shankar, we hear, has totally cutdown the north Indian flavour we saw in 'Three Idiots' and made several changes to the script. "Nanban is not a line-by-line of remake of the Aamir Khan starrer," say sources.
For example, there are a couple of scenes shot in a college in western Tamil Nadu, which one could not find in'‘Three Idiots'. Also, a few new characters are also there in 'Nanban' script.
"Shankar has carefully designed the looks of all lead players. Funny among them would be the 'bakthi pazham' getup of Jeeva. Kareena Kapoor's character, which is being played by Ileana, has also undergone various changes."
I was nervous to work with Vijay – Ileana
Ileana is gung ho about Nanban with Vijay, directed by Shankar. She bubbles over with enthusiasm while discussing the project. Apparently it is not a scene – by – scene lift from the original Three Idiots but a remake that takes into account Tamil sensibilities. Her character has also been tweaked a little and she credits Shankar for developing the character as well as her look in the film.About working with Vijay she says she was a little nervous but everyone made her feel comfortable and helped her out with the language barrier. Vijay is a very composed person she says and is very friendly. He shares a great rapport with Jiiva, and Srikanth and the three enliven the sets considerably. “As for me, I am the fourth idiot on the set”, she adds with a laugh.

Vijay has still got couple of weeks to complete the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Velayudham’. The climax stunt sequence is currently being shot in the backdrops of gigantic sets of Binny Mills. He will soon join the sets of Shankar’s ‘Nanban’ after wrapping up with ‘Velayudham’.
Right now, Shankar is carrying out the shooting schedule with Jeeva, Srikanth, Ileana and other junior artists. Vijay is trying to manage between ‘Nanban’ and ‘Velayudham’ since they vary with the times during day and night.
Soon after completing the schedule in Chennai, Shankar is planning to shoot the location to Spain for canning some songs.
Ileana, fourth idiot in Nanban
Sensuous and lissome lass beauty Ileana is currently busy with the shooting of her Kollywood film Nanban directed by Shankar. On talking to a leading newspaper the actress said “I was very nervous on the first day of the shoot but as the days passed on I felt very comfortable with the entire unit. It is a complete new experience for me as I am not used to the working style of Kollywood and major drawback for me is the language. Director Shankar has made some changes to my role and it’s not a line-by-line remake. I have completed handed over my character and look to Shankar sir. Even my look in the film has been designed carefully”.
On talking about her co stars Ileana says “Vijay is very calm and cool on the sets. All three of them are very good friends. And I joining them have turned as the fourth idiot! Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth are very cooperative and when I talk to them in Tamil they have not laughed or made fun on me. This made me more comfortable to work with the team. I was also approached for the Telugu version also but at present the producers are concentrating only on the Tamil remake”.
Vijay working on back to back schedules
ilayathalapathy Vijay is busy working on non stop schedules for two of his upcoming films. The actor still has to complete the shoot of Velayudham which will take another couple of weeks.
Velayudham is currently on the heels of completion as the climax stunt sequence is currently being shot in the gigantic sets erected at Kollywood’s favourite shooting spot Binny Mills. Vijay is going to join Nanban soon after wrapping up Velayudham. In spite of his tight schedules Vijay is making his best efforts to take part in Nanban’s shoot as the time zones vary between day and night.Meanwhile Shankar is canning other parts of the film with Jeeva, Srikanth, Ileana and other junior artists in Chennai.
It is just because of Vijay’s dedication and commitment many directors want to work with him. Kudos to Vijay!
Ileana heaps laurels on Vijay
Nanban, the remake of Hindi hit Three Idiots, directed by Shankar is fast shaping up. Vijay plays the role enacted by Aamir Khan, while Jiiva and Srikanth and Jiiva are also in the cast. Ileana dons the character enacted by Kareena Kapoor.
Says Ileana, who is busy shooting for the movie, 'Vijay is always silent and at the same time he is a great colleague. He is very helpful and understands others troubles.
Describing Srikanth and Jiiva as her best friends on the sets, Ileana says,
‘The two are very naughty. We keep on cracking jokes on the sets of Nanban with Vijay and Shankar joining us often. On the whole, we are having a blast while shooting for the film.’

‘Nanban’ for Deepavali

A Tamil remake of Hindi blockbuster ‘Three Idiots’, ‘Nanban’ is busy taking shape in Coimbatore, Ooty, Andaman and Amsterdam. “Most parts of the shoot are over and Shankar will commence post-production soon,” say sources.
It is to be noted here that Shankar would take enough time for post-production since the director would never be ready for any compromise on the end product. “Since this is his first remake, he is putting extra efforts.”
With Ileana playing the role played by Kareena Kapoor in the Hindi original, Sathyaraj is doing the character of a college principal, who is the heroine’s father. Anuya has an important role, that of Ileana’s elder sister.
