There were reports that Ponniyin Selvan was dropped because Mani Ratnam felt that it is not financially viable. Then it was said that he will move over to a romantic flick and this film will mark the debut of Karthik’s son Gautham.
But now sources close to the director say that Ponniyin Selvan has not been dropped but has been shelved. The ace director has plans to revive Ponniyin Selvan soon after he completes the romantic flick, source report. So, we can expect Ponniyin Selvan after all!
