Ilayathalapathy Vijay has completed almost 90% of the shoot for his upcoming movie Velayudham directed by Raja and is now busy shooting for Nanban,directed by Shankar. Recently Raja cameup with an special interview wherein he shared some important highlights about Velayudham.
The movie has a basic theme as to how a normal man with some social kindness and responsibility becomes head of the nation/society and what are the problems that he comes across and how he handles it forms the critset of the movie.
The movie is produced by Aascar Ravichandran and is shot in both village and city & vijay plays the role of milkman in a village. Genelia and Hansika plays the female leads in the movie. There are 2 new stars from bollywood who would be doing the role of baddie in the movie where Santhanam takes care of the comedy part.
Recently there was a huge set erected at a big cost of 1.5 crore for a marriage scene, where in the entire village was decorated grandly and this kind of art work,would be a never seen before one in any of previous Vijay films and in tamil cinema as well.
This movie would be a commercial one which right elements of action,comedy, sentiments and the scenes between Vijay and Saranya Mohan, who plays Vijay's sister in the movie had come out really well.
Vijay s intro song in the movie has been shot in a grand manner which had cost around 2 crores. More than 300 junior artists have danced for this song and it would a major high light of this movie and this song is choreographed by Ashokraj who had already choreographed the intro songs of vijay in his previous movies like Sivakasi, Pokiri and so on.
Vijay has ensure that he had always been in the shooting spot on time and has never been late even for a day for the entire shooting and even the movie shooting had not got delayed even for a day because of Vijay and Vijay had ensured that he had worked very hard for each and every frame.
The cinematography is taken care by Priyan who had shot spectacular visuals & Vijay Antony scored the music, who had recently expressed his views that there are totally 5 songs in the movie,each turning out to be a different one and the songs are sure to be chartbusters than Vettaikaran. Vijay Antony had initially planned to make Vijay to sing in the movie, however it was finally sung by himself.
There are totally 6 stunt scenes in the movie and is choreographed by hollywood stunt director. Vijay has taken immense risk to ensure that the stunts comeout really well and he had been widely appreciated by the stunt director for all his efforts that he had put in till now.
Raja has ensure that the movie would turn out to be the best commercial movie for Vijay till date and has informed that it would satisfy all the audiences for sure.
