Ajith’s Mankatha was supposed to hit the marquee on his birthday, May 1st, 2011 but this did not happen as the film could not be wrapped up on time. Due to this, Mankatha’s release had to be postponed.
Now, Vijay seems to be in the same situation. Ilayathalapathy’s Velayutham was slated for release on June 22nd 2011 which happens to be his birthday. But sources close to Velayutham’s producers say that the film could not be completed as planned. Following this, there is a widespread disappointment among Vijay’s fans. Sources say that Velayutham will hit the screens some time in August.
